FAQ  to pipette.

1. How to ensure the accurate amount of liquid aspirated when using a manual pipette to absorb viscous or volatile samples?
For pipetting viscous samples, it is recommended to use a continuous dispensing pipette with an external piston. If you use a manual pipette with a built-in piston, you can use the reverse pipetting method. When aspirating, press the suction and discharge button to the second stop point, and when discharging, press the button to the first stop. This can ensure the accuracy of the aspirated volume.

2. How to check whether the pipette is leaking?
After aspiration, wait in the liquid for 1-3 seconds to observe whether the liquid level in the tip drops; if the liquid level drops, first check whether there is a problem with the tip.

Confirm that the suction head is OK. There may be a problem with the piston assembly. In this case, you should contact the manufacturer's maintenance personnel.

3. Can the pipette absorb organic solvents?
The pipette does not directly contact the sample, which is theoretically possible. However, because organic solvents are highly volatile and corrosive and may have an impact on the internal piston assembly, it is recommended that organic solvents use tips with filter elements.

4. What should you do if the pipette does not rebound when pressed or leaks or does not aspirate?
If this problem occurs after using it for a period of time, it is possible that liquid has entered the inside of the pipette and corroded the piston. It is recommended to replace the piston.

If it is a new pipette, it may be caused by poor lubrication of the piston and O-ring. Press it firmly and press it several times to spread the silicone grease evenly.

5. Does the pipette tip ejector not rebound after being pressed?
Possible reasons: The pipe push spring is corroded and the single-channel nozzle pusher assembly needs to be replaced.

6. What should I do if the counter’s character wheels are uneven and the teeth jump?
Possible reasons: Poor assembly, worn gears, or damaged shrapnel. The counter assembly needs to be replaced.

7. What should I do if liquid enters the pipette by mistake when aspirating liquid?
In case of accidental liquid getting into the pipette, please stop using the pipette and remove the liquid as soon as possible. If thorough cleaning is required, please follow the pipette manufacturer's instructions for disassembly, cleaning, and follow-up lubrication maintenance.

8.How long is the service life of Cialan manual pipettes?
Depending on the frequency of customer use, it can support more than 100,000 times of suction and discharge;

9. Does the Cialan pipette have a range lock?
No, it's just that compared to traditional pipettes with small counter gears, our counter gears are larger and require some effort to turn, so it is less likely to cause misoperation of the measuring range.

10. Which brand of tips are compatible with Cialan pipettes?
It can be adapted to most domestic brands and AXYGEN, Sartorius (Biohit) brand tips. Please see the tip adaptation table for details.
